Our Mares

Some of the foals from our mares are offered for sale.  As foals arrive, we'll update our site with gender, color, and conformation comments on each foal.  We feel confident that these foals will be athletes.  With the crosses we've chosen, these foals should be "do anything" horses, with strong abilities in roping and ranch work.  Click our links above to see the new arrivals, and please feel free to contact us if you are interested in one.

OLE MANS SHADE

"Sadie"

12.5% Blue Valentine with Cactus Ben, Skipper W on her papers. A grand-daughter of Rojo Berry. Sadie goes back to Skipper W, more often known as the Wiescamp horses, which were known for their excellence in conformation, ability and disposition.

25% Blue Valentine. Hancock breeding top and bottom. A daughter of Rojo Berry, a double bred Blue Valentine on top side and an array of Joe Hancock descendants on the bottom.

31.25% Blue Valentine. Hawk is by Wyo Blue Bonnet and out of a Rowdy Blue Man mare. She has very keen head that she passes on to her babies. She goes back to Rip Rip and two times to Plenty Coup.

42+% Blue Valentine. Nicely built mare with plenty of size and an equally nice pedigree. Through Royal Blue Hancock and Blues Almost Roan, she goes back to numerous Blue Valentine sons and daughters.

KINGFISHERS STORM

45+% Blue Valentine. Broken Bones ranch breeding on top and out of a double-bred Blues Kingfisher mare, Miss Rapid Hancock. Not as tall as some but stocky and bulldog type. Just take a look at her son on the stallion page.

"The horse tries to do what we'd like him to do. His problem is, "human, what do you mean". We are trying to reach a harmony between horse and rider. The rider needs to learn to prepare the horse to react in a way that is natural and understandable to the horse."
